bitcoin has been around for years, but i still can not wrap my head around its value as a currency.

there is the trading aspect, some have made millions and some have lost millions. but outside the trading sphere, what value does it have?
how long is it actually going to be around?

and what about all the shitcoins? are they NFTs all over again?

the best i can understand it, is that it is like kohl’s cash, only traded in one venue.

what am i missing?

So, I used to use Drift Protocol for perps trading and ended up “losing” the entirety of my balance after the Drift exploit… I’ve been using Hyperliquid since then but don’t trust it 100%, same deal, you deposit balance into the platform… would you think this is any safer since it doesn’t run on SOL? … thoughts on using Jupiter instead??

Now that Binance didnt got its MICA license on time, its europeans users have to move to other exchanges before 1 July.

Every exchange's name on the table has an hyperlink towards the authority of financial markets of France where you can check where and when they got the license.

If you are not already on any of theses exchange I would suggest one of top 2, Kraken or coinbase.

And if you move the funds, remember to convert everythng to one token (dont use USDT and chose one that is cheap on gas), test a very little transfer first( ALWAYS DO THIS FIRST) and then transfer evverything and then convert it to what you had but now on the new exchange.

Like many people, I've been watching STRC struggle to hold its $100 level.

I believe the mechanism intended to drive the price back to $100 has a design flaw that's causing it to fail to return to $100 target.

There are two types of people in the STRC market — short term dividend arbitragers, and longer-term holders.

The problem is that dividend arbitragers have been driving up supply of STRC to levels higher than the longer-term holders can consume.

Each time an ex-dividend date occurs, dividend arbitragers buy STRC, hold it until the ex-dividend date, and sell it, with the aim of selling for price difference less than the amount they gain from collecting the dividend. They can do this with leverage using their broker's margin, and it has also been possible to double up on monthly dividends by also doing the same trade on SATA (another preferred stock much like STRC) as their ex-dividend dates are different.

Unlike a normal stock, STRC issues new shares directly to buyers at the $100 level, so these dividend arbitragers are causing new shares to be issued in large numbers as they buy in. When they sell on the ex-dividend day, the extra share issuance becomes too much for longer-term buyers to absorb, so the price drives down.

Because new shares are issued at $100, the price never goes over $100, and so there's no market mechanism to destroy demand from arbitragers — they can always buy at $100 as much as they like. In a normal stock, arbitragers would push up the price, making the arb unprofitable, but this doesn't occur in STRC.

Many of these dividend arbitragers will be failing to sell at a profitable price, so they'll be trapped holding shares and trying to sell into buyers entering for the next ex-dividend date to get out of their losing trade. These trapped dividend arb traders make it even harder for the price to return to $100.

The other problem is, Strategy's mechanism for pushing the market back to $100 is likely to make this worse. They can increase the dividend amount to incentivise buyers, but increasing the dividend may incentivise dividend arbitragers more than long-term buyers, as a larger dividend is more appealing and easier to arb, because of the larger spread between $100 and the sale price.

The recent drop in BTC to ~$60k has likely hit sentiment amongst longer-term holders, leading to reduced demand to absorb the excess supply caused by dividend arbitragers triggering ATM issuance of shares.

The current design has the effect of issuing more STRC than the market can bear. Increasing the yield may help temporarily, but as the price returns to $100, dividend arbers are likely to drive up supply again until the $100 level cannot be maintained.

I think Strategy needs to:

• Change the issuance policy to not issue at $100, but at a higher level. This will make dividend arbing harder, as people will be buying high and selling low, making the arb less likely to be profitable. At the moment buyers can always buy at <= $100, which makes the arb much more appealing.
  • Could be graduated, e.g. some issuance at $100 up to a limit, then only at higher levels. As well as disincentivising dividend arbing, this would add value for MSTR holders, as shares of STRC would be selling at a premium (lower yield).
• Increase the dividend rate to daily, like SATA has, which will further reduce the incentive to arb
• Buy back shares to reduce supply to bearable levels, otherwise it seems likely that there will be insufficient demand to return to $100 until a bull market returns

Are we all in for a shock if we are no longer following the four year cycle ?

I have a feeling it's going back up by the end of the year with altcoins pumping.

I tried making this post on the crypto com subreddit, but the mods didn't approve it. I have USD on my crypto.com account that I can't seem to withdraw. I initially deposited USDC, but it converted to USD after sportsbetting. The only withdraw options I see are bank ach. I tried adding my banks, but both were rejected. I've not been able to find an email, chat, or phone number where a human can help me withdraw my money. Does anyone know of a way to withdraw USD from crypto.com? Their AI is no help.

Obviously legislation passed by the US/EU that relates to crypto influences prices, but like what about when these guys aren't doing laws.

The Iran War has affected markets all across the globe in all kinds of industries but it seems to not affect crypto prices at all. And bitcoin crashed recently but I don't see why?

Ive sold everything at 110K and just recently started buying back below 60K. I plan on going more aggressively the lower we go and I believe that we bottom around 40-50K, thats where I will really heavily start buying. There are prices I would beat myself up if I had missed. Buying only BTC ETH and LINK. (70 20 10)

While yes, I dont think we have bottomed, I am more than happy to start accumulating at these prices. No, I dont intend to full portfolio buy, I will gradually start buying each month from now on or the further we go I add more. I see soo many people saying “bitcoin is dead” and wont recover, I think that is because they are sitting on incredibly big losses. Always remember that its a good time to buy when theres blood in the street. We have already dropped 50%. Im only buying with what I can afford to lose so even if we were to HYPOTHETICALLY drop a further 50% it wouldn’t be the end of the world. Heck it would be a buying opportunity (That I hope and pray to be possible - even though its HIGHLY unlikely!)

As of this week, both the Bitcoin Power Law chart and the Bitcoin Rainbow chart (now on its 5th version) have broken through the bottom. Both of them have always grossly overestimated BTC price and underestimated the diminishing returns of each cycle.

Bitcoin cycles have diminishing returns

• Cycle 2: 50x gain
• Cycle 3: 20x gain
• Cycle 4: 3x gain
• Cycle 5 (just ended): 2x gain (1.7x inflation-adjusted)

Returns converted to 4-year CAGR:

• Cycle 2: 170%
• Cycle 3: 110%
• Cycle 4: 32%
• Cycle 5 (just ended): 19% (14% inflation-adjusted)

The current Cycle 6 will likely only have 1.4x to 1.6x, which is roughly 9-12% CAGR. Beyond that, BTC price returns are no better than S&P 500 returns, but with much more risk.

Within a couple of cycles, not only will the S&P 500 have less risk than holding BTC, but the S&P 500 will also have higher returns than holding BTC. A lot of crypto investors are going to leave. So if you think THIS bear market sucks, good luck surviving the next 2 cycles. It's going to be worse.

Saylor designed STRC expecting 30% CAGR for Bitcoin. I hope he's ready for far, far lower returns.

(There is one silver-lining: This diminishing returns analysis is based on cycle highs. The cycle lows for this cycle are still around 30% CAGR as of the start of June 2026, but that's likely because the cycle isn't over yet and we haven't hit the bottom. If BTC falls to $30-40k before the end of this cycle, then the returns will be just as bad as the cycle high predictions.)

AAIF just launced this month and it's tied to something something AI and politics. Anyone got any real info on it? I see Coinbase offers it already (which seems interesting.)

For traders in the EU, there's been a lot of chatter about MiCA and its impact on crypto exchanges. A lot of exchanges are either limiting what they offer to European users or pulling out of the region entirely. This puts a lot of capital at risk and users need to be proactive about it.

For those who don't know me, I work in web3 and write content on projects and what's happening in the space.

The exchange Bitpanda is running a campaign that fits this moment and helping out users who may be looking to switch exchanges. They're one of the longer-standing European platforms that's fully regulated and stayed compliant through the MiCA transition, and right now they'll pay you to move assets over. The campaign is called Bring Your Assets. Basically, you transfer your crypto into a Bitpanda account, leave it 30 days, and get 5% back paid in Bitcoin.

Bitpanda is a regulated custodial exchange, so while you won't be able to do anything onchain, if you're a "buy-and-hold" type of investor and want the benefits of a CEX, this is a nice little boost. If you keep everything in self-custody and never touch an exchange, this isn't aimed at you. Where it makes sense is if you already hold balances on exchanges, or your current European venue is one of the ones cutting back, and you'd rather consolidate onto something regulated that isn't going anywhere. Effectively, you're getting paid 5% to move assets.

Some details: The campaign runs from 18 June to 5 July 2026. You transfer crypto into your Bitpanda account through the app or website during that window, and it needs to stay there for 30 days. Everyone who qualifies gets 5% cashback paid in Bitcoin on the amount they bring over. The first 1,000 participants who move €1,000 or equivalent lock in €50 in BTC, which is that same 5% shown as a round number. Cashback is credited by 30 July 2026. It's open to fully verified users in selected European countries, with the full list on the campaign page (https://www.bitpanda.com/en/campaigns/bya-june-26).

MiCA is going to keep separating the platforms that did the regulatory work from the ones that didn't, and EU users are going to keep consolidating toward the compliant ones. Bitpanda paying to accelerate that is a smart use of the moment. If you were already going to hold on an exchange, 5% in BTC to pick a regulated one is a reasonable deal.

Note: While I did my due diligence and there's no obvious risk with Bitpanda collapsing, I obviously can't guarantee that. Please make sure you are familiar with the risks associated with custodial accounts. Bitpanda has been around for quite some time and has never had any issues. I have used Binance for about five years and completed many P2P trades without major issues. I understand the platform's rules, and I'm not here to claim that I did everything perfectly.

Unfortunately, one trade changed everything.

I opened a P2P order to buy 12.93 ETH (around €40,000).

During the order, the seller told me inside the Binance chat that his bank account was blocked and asked me to pay through Payeer instead. He personally sent me the Payeer account details in the official Binance order chat.

Believing I was following the seller's own payment instructions, I completed the payment immediately and uploaded full proof.

Instead of releasing the ETH, the seller later claimed that his account had been hacked and that the money had gone to someone else.

At that moment I realized this was no longer an ordinary P2P dispute.

I immediately reported the case to the Turkish Cyber Crimes Prosecutor's Office.

The prosecutor officially opened an investigation and issued a written order instructing Turkish cyber police to contact Binance through official law-enforcement channels and request that the disputed crypto remain frozen during the investigation.

From that point on, I believed the legal process would be allowed to continue.

Unfortunately, that never happened.

I personally visited the cyber police office four different times asking whether Binance had been contacted. Every visit ended with the same answer: "Come back later."

Eventually I was simply told to leave.

While I was waiting for the authorities to complete their part of the process, Binance closed the dispute.

Later Binance informed me that Vietnamese law enforcement had contacted them on behalf of the seller, but they had received nothing from Turkey.

As a result, Binance released all 12.93 ETH back to the seller.

The seller immediately withdrew the assets.

My money was gone.

I want to be completely honest about one important point.

Yes, I made a mistake.

I paid to the Payeer account that the seller sent me inside the Binance order chat instead of using the payment account shown on his Binance profile.

I fully accept responsibility for making that mistake.

I am not asking anyone to ignore Binance's rules or excuse my error.

What has been extremely difficult for me to accept is what happened afterward.

Once a criminal investigation had officially started, and Binance had been informed that legal proceedings were underway, I genuinely believed the disputed assets would remain frozen until law enforcement had a reasonable opportunity to communicate with Binance.

Instead, the case was finalized before my country's authorities ever managed to send their request.

That decision meant I permanently lost 12.93 ETH.

I have used Binance for about five years and completed many P2P trades without major issues. I understand the platform's rules, and I'm not here to claim that I did everything perfectly.

Unfortunately, one trade changed everything.

I opened a P2P order to buy 12.93 ETH (around €40,000).

During the order, the seller told me inside the Binance chat that his bank account was blocked and asked me to pay through Payeer instead. He personally sent me the Payeer account details in the official Binance order chat.

Believing I was following the seller's own payment instructions, I completed the payment immediately and uploaded full proof.

Instead of releasing the ETH, the seller later claimed that his account had been hacked and that the money had gone to someone else.

At that moment I realized this was no longer an ordinary P2P dispute.

I immediately reported the case to the Turkish Cyber Crimes Prosecutor's Office.

The prosecutor officially opened an investigation and issued a written order instructing Turkish cyber police to contact Binance through official law-enforcement channels and request that the disputed crypto remain frozen during the investigation.

From that point on, I believed the legal process would be allowed to continue.

Unfortunately, that never happened.

I personally visited the cyber police office four different times asking whether Binance had been contacted. Every visit ended with the same answer: "Come back later."

Eventually I was simply told to leave.

While I was waiting for the authorities to complete their part of the process, Binance closed the dispute.

Later Binance informed me that Vietnamese law enforcement had contacted them on behalf of the seller, but they had received nothing from Turkey.

As a result, Binance released all 12.93 ETH back to the seller.

The seller immediately withdrew the assets.

My money was gone.

I want to be completely honest about one important point.

Yes, I made a mistake.

I paid to the Payeer account that the seller sent me inside the Binance order chat instead of using the payment account shown on his Binance profile.

I fully accept responsibility for making that mistake.

I am not asking anyone to ignore Binance's rules or excuse my error.

What has been extremely difficult for me to accept is what happened afterward.

Several major cryptocurrency lending companies collapsed during the 2022 market downturn, setting off a domino effect across the industry. The highest-profile failures include:

BlockFi: Filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2022 after the collapse of FTX, which had previously extended a credit line to keep the lender afloat.

Celsius Network: Filed for bankruptcy in July 2022 due to a massive liquidity crisis triggered by falling crypto prices and heavy exposure to the collapsed Terra ecosystem.

Voyager Digital: Filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 2022 following massive defaults by the crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC).

Genesis Global: The prominent institutional crypto lender filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January 2023 after suffering catastrophic losses from its loans to 3AC and Alameda Research (FTX).

No body know how solvent Nexo is as a crypto lender. They could be 100% legit and 100% solvent.

But if they are not 100% solvent (like Celsius, Voyager, Blockfi, Genesis), without a Mica license, all who use Nexo in the EU will need to leave and taking their crypto with them.

That will be a stress test for them.

Binance withdrew its Greek MiCA application June 24, after Greek regulators reportedly flagged concerns over corporate structure. From July 1 they're suspending new orders, deposits, signups, and Earn/staking for EU users. Only ~200 firms had MiCA licences as of May 2026 out of 1,200+ that had national registrations pre-MiCA. Conversion rate under 18%.

This is going to keep happening. Curious what people are doing with EU holdings, moving to a licensed CEX, going full self-custody, or just waiting it out since withdrawals aren't affected.

My question is are we in a crypto winter or is this the grand finale? I thought it was understood that BTC operates in a 4yr cycle? Well, technically, isn’t that where we are now?

However, there’s a lot of people talking about how crypto is done. I’m hearing Institutions are involved so it’s manipulated. Or the US government has gone after all of the people who used crypto for bad so now all of those corrupt contributors are scared.

What ever the case is. A decision has to be made. If you are anything like me, you are probably down in your position. If your anything like me you got into BTC because of the foundation of sovereign money, giving the power back to the people, my keys my bitcoin. And if that’s you, then hold on. So the deadline's basically here (July 1) and I keep going back and forth on how much it actually changes for me day to day.

For the people who don't follow the EU stuff: after the 1st, exchanges without a MiCA license can't legally serve EU users. The number that got me was something like 210 of ~3,000 firms actually cleared it. Even Binance is apparently still sorting its license out after the Greece thing stalled.

What I can't tell is how hard the cutover actually bites. Like is it "your account is gone July 1," or a slow thing where pairs quietly disappear and withdrawals get clunky over a few months? I've seen people claim both and I don't know who's right.

I already pulled most of my stack to a hardware wallet a while back so I'm not too worried about the holding part. It's more the moving-between-things part — if a chunk of the smaller exchanges get cut, I'm probably leaning more on non-custodial swap stuff and DEXs, (eg tokensfund) which I'm fine with but the rates and the learning curve are real.

Hey everyone, so today I was approached by someone working at the grocery store, who was doing an instacart shopping order.

He asked if I know about "redplugging" with crypto. I tried to clarify if he meant "rugpull" but he said no, that it was a new technique to make $.

He said he would wire money to my account to buy a certain crypto, and then it would skyrocket and I could sell.

My friend believes it's a scam, but is addicted to the get rich quick mentality, so he wants to find out more about it.

My friend told me: This guy will wire the money to your account, then will instruct you to buy a specific shit coin that he is a whale in. Then he will steal your liquidity, and a few days later the bank will start calling asking for this money back since the wired money was fake.

I'm curious if anyone has ever dealt with this. My friend really wants me to stay away from it, but I really want to see if it's legitimate.

This may be a dumb question, but I’m having trouble resolving this.

Primarily I’m looking at a Solana gaming project, the gist of it is:
- token gates playing said game
- the token acts as an in-game economy
- in game efforts are rewarded with the token
- there’s a gambling mechanic where you use said tokens to get items, half is burned, half is sent to treasury
- the token is being openly framed as appreciating with growth

This entire game is essentially an unregistered investment contract. Now my issue is, theres a lot of these games being openly developed and being speculated on X. No one is talking about the fact that this is illegal. I couldn’t find a single post reflecting said sentiment on X. Instead, people are speculating on these games and more of them are coming out.

Why is this the case? Where is the enforcement? Is there some sort of loophole these games are using?

What happened

The Arbitrum DAO passed a proposal to "minimize" Arbitrum Nova. That means Nova isn't being shut down, but it's being moved into a maintenance-only state with reduced infrastructure, slower support, and stricter rate limits. Data availability shifts to Ethereum L1 blobs, and most service-provider contracts get deprecated.

The short version: the chain keeps existing, but you should not plan to keep anything important on it.

The timeline

• June 4 – September 2, 2026: 90-day migration window. Everything stays fully operational. This is when you move your tokens.
• After September 2: Nova drops to a minimized state. Bridging is still possible, but with less support and potentially fewer fast-bridge options available.

You can technically still migrate after the deadline (the Arbitrum Canonical Bridge stays accessible through the Arbitrum Portal), but you'll have fewer tools and slower help. Don't wait.

How to migrate your MOON

There is no direct path to move MOON from Nova to Arbitrum One through the official Arbitrum Portal. You have two routes:

Option A: Canonical route (via Ethereum)

1. Move MOON from Arbitrum Nova to Ethereum via the Arbitrum Portal.
2. Wait through the ~7-day challenge/confirmation period, then claim the token on Ethereum.
3. Bridge MOON from Ethereum to Arbitrum One via the Arbitrum Portal.

This is the slower route, but it doesn't depend on third-party liquidity.

Option B: MoonBridge (direct Nova → One)

moonbridge[.]cc bridges MOON directly between Arbitrum Nova and Arbitrum One (it also supports Ethereum and Gnosis). It's a 1:1 token bridge that I made for the CCMOON DAo, not a swap, so there's no price impact or slippage on your MOON.

The one thing to watch is destination liquidity. If your transfer is larger than the available liquidity on the destination side, the portion that can't be filled is refunded (the fee on refunds is 1%, same as the 1% fee on fulfilled amounts, plus a relayer fee). For larger holdings, check the destination liquidity shown in the interface and split into smaller transfers if needed.

Bottom line

Move your MOON during the June 4 – September 2 window while everything still works smoothly. MoonBridge gives you a direct Nova → One path if liquidity covers your size; the canonical route through Ethereum always works but takes 7+ days. The Arbitrum Canonical Bridge will keep working after the window closes, but support and bridging options get thinner once Phase 3 kicks in.

After enough cycles you lose track of which exchange or lender blew up when, so I went back and put the major custody failures from 2014 to 2023 into one timeline with the actual figures.

Running through them:

• Mt. Gox (2014): around 850,000 BTC gone. It wasn't a dramatic hack, the coins drained out over years behind balances that were simply faked. Anyone with funds on it saw no repayment until 2024.
• QuadrigaCX (2018): the CEO died and the company claimed he was the only one who could access the cold wallets, so ~CAD 169M was supposedly stuck. Then the auditors looked, and the wallets had been empty for eight months before he died. The Ontario regulator called it a Ponzi.
• 2022, the whole cascade: Three Arrows Capital (a hedge fund) over-leveraged itself into the ground and defaulted on the lenders that were funding it with customer deposits. Celsius, Voyager, BlockFi, and Genesis went down behind it inside about eight months. The "earn yield on your crypto" products had been lending those deposits into that leverage the entire time.
• FTX (2022): roughly $8B hole, customer funds routed to Alameda, SBF got 25 years. One detail worth knowing if you had money there: the estate is repaying creditors over 100%, but in dollars valued at the November 2022 petition date, when BTC was around $16k. It later ran past $90k, so the recovery measured in actual coins is far below what people lost.

The annoying part is how little it changes from one to the next. The deposits were never just sitting there, you had no way to verify the custody, and when it broke you were an unsecured creditor in a bankruptcy instead of someone who owned coins.

We have to talk about the other side too, because "just self-custody" isn't free advice. You need exchanges to actually buy and sell. Lose your seed phrase and there's no support line and no court to recover it. Some people are genuinely better off with a regulated, insured custodian.

When I dipped my toes in crypto, I admittedly didn't know what I was doing. After getting burned in the altcoin space during the last bull run, I started using BullX specifically for markups and research. I've learned a lot over the years, but they recently suspended the platform. Anyone have any good alternatives? Not necessarily to trade with, but one that has good markups, editing, and access to indicators? Also, any good paper trading platforms out there?

grifting in any other industry is all good, prices continue to climb regardless of what ponzi mechanism is introduced to sustain prices, only in crypto do we have to sacrifice people all the time while inflicting massive losses to ourselves at the process (bitconnect, luna, ftx, celsius, alon hiring a chief legal officer, etc and now saylor with mstr and strc. To prove he's real, he pins a receipt to his channel — an actual transaction, "100,000 USDT, confirmed onchain," with a link you can click and verify.

That's the trick. The receipt is real. What he sells you isn't.

I clicked the receipt. Mostly to see what a scammer's wallet looks like.

It wasn't his wallet. It was a 2-of-3 multisig — the kind of setup a company uses, three keyholders, two signatures to move anything. Weird thing for a Telegram scammer to be touching. So I pulled its history.

Fifteen months. $812 million in. $807 million out.

I read that twice. The wallet keeps almost nothing. It's not a wallet — it's a doorway, and money only ever walks through it.

Somebody went to the trouble of institutional-grade key management to build a doorway.

I wanted to know who was feeding it, so I went one step upstream to the wallet pouring money in.

Except it wasn't a wallet pouring money in. It was 69,591 of them.

Almost seventy thousand addresses, a couple thousand dollars each, all draining into one collector that bundles them and sweeps the total forward in $900,000 gulps.

That's not customers. That's a funnel. And if each of those is a payment, a lot of them are people who got the exact scam I started from.

At this point I'm just following the water downhill, and downhill is the cash-out. The money fans out and lands in a handful of addresses.

Arkham has labels on three of them. OKX. Kraken. Binance.

I want to be careful here, because it matters: those exchange labels come from Arkham, not the exchanges, and I'm not saying anyone at those companies knew anything. B

ut the path is there. Every hop, every hash, on a public ledger, sitting in the open the whole time — the same open ledger those exchanges are legally required to watch.

I opened a scammer's receipt because I was curious what was behind it.

What was behind it was seventy thousand victims, a doorway nobody owns, and a clean exit through three of the biggest companies in crypto.

Keep seeing two completely different takes on the 0 cost basis 1099-DA thing and honestly can't tell which is right. Some people treat it like a non-event, you just attach your real basis and move on. Then there's a steady stream of posts with CP2000 notices for gains they never made, saying it wrecked their spring. Not in the US myself so I'm just trying to get the actual shape of it before I assume it's as bad as it looks. For anyone who's already had a notice or a 1099-DA that was obviously wrong, which was it for you, annoying but fixable or an actual nightmare to unwind.

Lately, we've been hearing about the future of EVs, LLMs and AI, global warfare atrocities, data centers, drones, wifi signal being intercepted and used to locate shit, etc. technology is always in the headlines. So.. Where the hell is block-chain and crypto? I believed in this web3 future but the metaverse has essentially died, NFTs have come and gone, and I feel like I haven't read or heard shit about any companies, new advancements, big developments, mergers or acquisitions,....nothing since the ETFs were approved. Tech advancements keep coming and yet, this monumentous train of a development seems to have evaporated before ever leaving the station...

Is it me? What is happening in this space? Maybe I just am not being vigilant in my information sourcing or it's being actively suppressed? Tell me the good news, please.

Over the last year, it feels like stablecoins have gone from being a crypto niche topic to something regulators, banks, and governments are actively paying attention to.

They seem to be discussed more as payment infrastructure than as just another crypto product.

Remember when Cardano peaked around #3 in 2021 with a market cap close to $90B? It spent roughly 5 years in the top 20 while Charles promised that peer-reviewed research would eventually translate into adoption.

Today ADA’s market cap is a fraction of that, and newer chains with actual users and activity have passed it. Years of roadmaps, announcements and delays later.

With ADA out of the top 20, Charles can focus on what really matters: gargling Trump’s balls.

I’m still here. Not selling unless things really go off the rails, but I just need to vent for a minute because I’m honestly exhausted by this market.

I bought SOL in the low $20s, but I also bought ONDO above $2 at the top. I’ve ridden the ups and downs, took some profits here and there, but nothing significant. And now here we are again, supposedly “bottoming.”

I’m tired of hearing respected voices like Tom Lee talk about how we’re in the bottoming process, while at the same time watching things like MSTR struggle. The mixed signals are mentally draining.

To be clear, this isn’t the kind of struggle where I’m thinking about selling everything and walking away. It’s more the psychological side of it. The bears feel louder, the FUD feels stronger, and the uncertainty seems heavier than it did in previous cycles.

My client needs to pay me but since i don't have paypal in my country, we're going with crypto. Does exchanges allow immediate withdrawal after buying the crypto? For context the account will have to be created first, and client can do kyc but i need the payment on the same day preferably. I heard there's a cooling period or withdrawal hold in most exchanges. For those still not sure what's MSTR and STRC:

MSTR is a tech company stock that has pivoted primarily into a "BTC treasury", primarily using leveraged debt to buy BTC.

STRC is a hybrid stock/perp bond instrument pegged at $100, that pays dividend every month (11% APY).

The purpose is to raise cash to buy BTC, to help MSTR.

The feedback loop that everyone keeps talking about:

If STRC de-pegs, Strategy will need to raise the dividend to get people back in to try to re-peg to regain confidence and avoid a "bank run".

If the dividend is raised, it can come with a risk of less capital to pay the dividend over time, and less cash to buy BTC, less capital and assets for leverage, as the raised dividend drains more cash more quickly.

If there's less cash to buy BTC, and STRC loses its ability to raise capital, MSTR loses its incentive and value.

If MSTR loses its incentive and value, that's less money for capital and leverage.

If that happens, Strategy will have to either dilute shares of MSTR to raise capital, making it lose more of its value, or sell more BTC.

If that happens, it will negatively affect STRC's incentive and make it de-peg more once again, and the loop goes back in a circle.

So when does this feedback loop turn into a death spiral?

If BTC drops enough, for a long enough period of time, then it's gonna increase the chances of the feedback loop to turn into a death spiral.

More people could panic out of MSTR and STRC. Which can amplify the feedback loop, which will get even more people to panic out.

Hey folks, first time crypto buyer. Bought small amount of USDC (16$) via a bitcoin atm so that I can send it to my poker app to play some microstakes.

When I tried to send it from my samsung wallet to my poker balance it says I did not have enough eth. After some googling it looks like I need to have some eth as gas fees, my own stupidity I should have checked how that works. I assumed the fee would just take from USDC.

My question - does anyone know how to convert some of the USDC to eth? When I try and send it to eth wallet I need eth to cover the fees. If there is no way I will just have to wait until I can get to a bitcoin atm again.

Update to my original post

A few weeks ago I made a post because my ETH withdrawal got stuck in “Initiating” without a TXID and remained there for weeks. At first I believed it was just a temporary technical issue and that support would eventually solve it, but after weeks of getting nowhere I decided to investigate the exchange myself.

For weeks I was trying to understand why my withdrawal wasn’t moving. Support kept asking for patience, tickets received generic responses and Telegram admins eventually stopped replying altogether. The only way to get their attention again was to create a new Telegram account and ask questions publicly inside the official group. Every time I did that, admins suddenly became active again while private messages continued to be ignored.

A few days ago I reached the point where I simply couldn’t accept that my funds might be gone, so I started spending time on blockchain explorers trying to understand what was actually happening. During the last two days I began analyzing AscendEX hot wallets across multiple chains:

• Arbitrum
• Ethereum
• BSC
• Polygon
• Solana
• Arkham

What I found was very concerning. The exchange appears to hold millions of dollars in assets, but most of the value comes from newly listed low-liquidity project tokens such as REUR, ASD, FTRB and other small-cap tokens. AscendEX constantly lists new projects and users deposit USDT, ETH and other liquid assets to buy them, but when users want to withdraw their funds, certain assets and networks appear to become extremely difficult to withdraw.

While my ETH withdrawal remained stuck, some of their wallets contained almost no native ETH. At the same time trading activity continued normally and markets remained active. Personally, after monitoring the exchange activity and wallet movements during the last several days, I became convinced that a significant part of the exchange volume is likely generated by market-making bots. Markets remain active, orders continue moving and volume looks healthy even while users struggle to withdraw certain assets.

During my research I also discovered another Telegram group (t .me / ascendexx)

Inside that group I recognized several usernames that I had previously seen asking questions inside the official AscendEX Telegram group before being banned. I was eventually banned myself after repeatedly asking questions regarding my withdrawal. Speaking with these users confirmed many of my suspicions and showed me that my case was not an isolated incident.

The most important thing I learned is that support was completely useless. The only progress I made came from monitoring the wallets myself. I started checking which assets were actually available on specific chains and whether enough liquidity existed before attempting withdrawals. After identifying a token that was present in one of their wallets, I performed a small test withdrawal and it succeeded.

At this point I have managed to recover a small portion of my funds and I continue withdrawing through assets that still appear to have available liquidity and that can easily be exchanged elsewhere after withdrawal. The fact that users have to monitor exchange wallets in real time in order to determine which assets can actually be withdrawn should concern everyone using this exchange.

Everything I learned came from blockchain analysis, wallet monitoring and communication with other affected users. Support never explained which assets were working, which networks had problems or how users could recover their funds.

At this point I strongly do not recommend depositing funds to AscendEX under any circumstances. In my experience, getting money into the exchange is very easy, but getting it back out can become extremely difficult.

If you currently have funds on AscendEX, I would strongly recommend testing small withdrawals immediately and verifying that the assets you hold can actually be withdrawn before depositing anything else.

Yup thats their own post which says they "remain fully committed to securing our MiCA license" and that they will give users a real update before june 30 which days before a hard legal deadline, the world's largest crypto exchange's official line is still we are working on it.
The backstory is that reuters reported sources said greece’s regulator was leaning toward rejecting the application and binance pushed back, saying the regulator actually found them compliant and passed it to ESMA. The regulator hasnt confirmed either version publicly.
Meanwhile Coinbase, Kraken and Bitpanda along with roughly 200 other providers already cleared this same process months ago.

Now that we are trading around the 200 week moving average, it seems like I'm seeing more and more bear/troll posts. BTC is going to 30k, it will never see a new all time high, blah blah blah.

I just found two of my MetaMask wallets got hacked and most of cryptos inside were transferred out of those wallets last month. I lost about 6 ETH and some other alter coins.

I was running a NFT trading program on AWS so I had to put the private key of my wallets in the code file of the program. I stopped running it by the end of 2025 since the NFT market was almost dead. After that, I shut down the AWS instance and deleted it. I didn’t touch the image and snapshot until last month. I noticed it still incurred a monthly bill so I deleted the image and snapshot last month. My wallets got hacked right after that.

I suspect an AWS backend employee scanned my image files and then got my private keys. I have no evidence but it should be it. I have 4 private keys on my local computer. If my computer were hacked, all 4 wallets would have been stolen. The 2 wallets got stolen were exactly the ones I put on AWS.

I am not trying to get my money back, which I know is impossible. I just want to warn people who are doing similar things on AWS or other cloud services. Keep it in mind when using them.

You know how people say: "I bought 3 bitcoins," "I invested in bitcoins," "I'm stacking satoshis," "I transferred bitcoins to my wallet," or "I mined bitcoins"? However, all of this is a misconception because no bitcoins or their fractions (satoshis) actually exist. The piggy bank is empty.

The misconception stems from a post by an unknown programmer who claimed to have invented a payment system that transfers money. But all his invention does is maintain a decentralized database over a peer-to-peer network that shows which numbers belong to which addresses.

People came to believe that this network and its underlying protocol, collectively known as Bitcoin, record an amount of money, namely these bitcoins (abbreviated as BTC), in the database. But that money is not there.

For instance, people often claim they have bought digital money, even though nothing digital exists in proportion to the assigned numbers. A person whose address is assigned the number "50" cannot show fifty files, data structures, or software products. There are no digital "bitcoin objects" that can be mined, bought, owned, moved, or used.

It is even more obvious that nothing physical exists. Despite media illustrations of metal coins stamped with the '₿' symbol and frequent claims that one is buying something comparable to collectibles or commodities, no fifty tangible units of any kind are stored or reserved for the person next to whose address stands "50."

The most common misconception, however, is the belief that people have bought something akin to fiat currencies, e-money issued by companies such as PayPal, tokens, or even stocks. Yet, all of the above are instruments of liability, where the holder derives a benefit upon the fulfillment of that liability.

Stocks track a company's obligation to its shareholders. When companies decide to distribute profits, execute stock buybacks, or liquidate the business, they are legally required to make direct payments to shareholders. PayPal’s e-money and tokens, like casino chips, track the issuer's obligation to redeem them for a specified amount of fiat currency. Fiat currencies track the obligations of those who took out loans from commercial and central banks. Before repaying their loans, these debtors provide goods, services, and labor to holders of fiat currency, or, in the case of the state, the settlement of tax liabilities. If debtors default on their payments, banks seize their property, offering them at auctions to holders of fiat currency, providing them with a benefit in that way.

That unknown programmer's invention does not track anyone's liability whose fulfillment would provide a benefit to the holders of Bitcoin addresses.

Therefore, there are no bitcoins to be mined or bought. There is neither physical, digital, nor liability-based money. What people are actually doing is giving away electrical energy, money, goods, and services, and the Bitcoin network numerically tracks this act of gifting. Through a collective narrative and storytelling, this act is publicly misperceived as an investment or a purchase.

Centralized exchanges reinforce this misconception most aggressively by displaying the "BTC" ticker and USD side-by-side on trading interfaces. This is a visual lie, where the interface assumes that "something" stands behind the letters "BTC," just as a liability stands behind "USD."

Even critics participate in the misconception. For example, by speaking of an "overvalued currency," they assume its existence. They call the act of gifting "overvaluation," even though there is no digital, physical, or liability-based thing that the user has received and could value. You cannot say the price is too high when there is nothing to compare it to. Since there are only numbers in a database, the word "overvalued" makes no sense. You cannot overvalue the number 50; it is simply 50.

In short, this entire misconception boils down to people gifting existing wealth to one another in the hope that tomorrow someone else will gift them more, all while convinced they are investing in the money of the future. It will all collapse when the public realizes that this money simply does not exist.

Hey all,

I'm messing around trying to solve some of these addresses for fun. But I was curious, in the off chance that my application solves some of the lower bit addresses like 71, 72, etc, how would I go about actually getting the bitcoin transferred to my wallet safely?

I know things like Pollard's Rho, Kangaroo, BSGS algorithms exists, and for small key spaces such as 71 bit, exposing the public key via making a transaction would put the transaction at risk and could be stolen by bots.

How do you stop that from happening? I've seen the transaction accelerators, but they look to take 2-3 blocks first. With the 71 bit, my napkin math says that could be solved in 5-6min whereas a block takes around 10min?

It was incredibly frustrating going through official project sites where it was hard to find the actual relevant, detailed data, while simultaneously getting completely wrong or outdated information from traditional review sites and LLMs. Through this deep dive, I realized that for an EU resident, there simply is no single "perfect" crypto card on the market.

If you are open to managing three different platforms simultaneously to extract every last drop of yield, there is a strong optimization option for your savings:

You could use Ether.fi and COCA strictly for their cashback benefits, and move your idle savings over to Nexo. Even on Nexo's completely free Base Tier (with zero staking requirements), you can lock your Euro to get a flat 5.5% APY paid out in EURx (their Euro stablecoin). If you choose to receive your interest payout in their native NEXO token instead, that yield bumps up to 7.5% APY.

However, because I value simplicity and prefer managing fewer apps and dashboards over chasing absolute maximum value, I personally prefer sticking strictly to my 2-card setup. It hits the sweet spot of high performance without the tracking headaches.

The Only Viable 1-Card Alternative: Gnosis Pay

Right away the comments were full of people laughing at me: “Haha, Bitcoin is gonna crash anyway”, “Dumb move bro, should’ve bought something else” and all that stuff.

So I have a real question for all these smart guys in the comments:

If you’re so sure Bitcoin is going to drop hard, why aren’t you rich from it?

If you really know it’s gonna crash, why don’t you open a big short position with leverage, put in serious money and make hundreds of thousands or even millions? Then you could take that profit, put it in good dividend stocks and just live off the money without working.

Instead, it seems like most of you have maybe $10 in your account (or nothing) and you just sit here writing mean comments to people who are actually risking their own money.

Me? I don’t pretend I know exactly where Bitcoin is going. I took a real risk with my savings. That’s normal when you invest. But if I knew for sure what was gonna happen, of course I would use leverage and make at least $200-300K profit. I wouldn’t waste my time writing hate comments under random posts.

I've noticed that most traders eventually switch exchanges at some point. Sometimes it's because of fees, sometimes security concerns, and sometimes just a better user experience.

What was the main reason you left an exchange and moved to a different one?

Curious to hear everyone's experiences.

Imagine two groups of people. One group owns houses, apartments, land, vehicles, precious metals, and other forms of tangible wealth. The other group holds pieces of paper they call money. In the past, the situation was reversed: the subsequent owners of those papers held the tangible wealth, having created it through their own hard work. The latter group, however, did nothing. They only thought about how to get their hands on that wealth. So, they devised these pieces of paper, along with a story about facilitating exchange, to convince others to hand over their wealth. And the others naively did just that.

This raises a crucial, existential question: why would those who now hold the tangible wealth ever hand it back to those with the pieces of paper?

There is no economic, logical, or any other rational reason to do so. When someone hands you a car that can satisfy a multitude of real, existential needs in exchange for a piece of paper that fulfills none, you would be crazy to give that car up again just because of a utopian story about how that same paper facilitates exchange.

This is precisely why the Bitcoin project has actually already failed, even though people are not yet aware of it. It is the exact same story about money, with the only difference being that the token is digital rather than paper. But the essence of the situation remains the same. There was a group that had tangible wealth and gave it up for the story of money, and a second group that now holds their wealth. Although exchanges are still happening at a certain level due to current market mania and blind faith in that story, statistics show they are constantly declining. When the mania finally subsides, the harsh reality will remain: those who have acquired tangible wealth will not give it up for the sake of those holding tokens.

How is it then that, for example, the US dollar did not collapse a long time ago? The gold standard hasn’t existed for over half a century, and dollars today are just pieces of paper or digital records. If we go back to the story of the two groups of people, in the case of the dollar, there is one extremely powerful reason why the collapse did not happen. There is a force that compels those who received tangible wealth to return it to dollar holders. Namely, the dollar is issued as debt. Banks create it by approving loans. When those debtors receive tangible wealth from the public using newly created dollars, they have to pay it back in installments. To return those dollars to the banks and save their real property from foreclosure, they must work and create new wealth for those holding dollars. In the case of the state, which is the largest debtor, it accepts the dollar as a means of settling tax obligations because of its debt, thereby saving dollar holders from asset seizure or prison.

So, there is no utopian story about facilitating exchange for theoretical economists to philosophize about here. There is only the harsh reality of existential coercion. It is this very coercion that has kept the dollar alive for over half a century. A financial gun pointed at the head is the only real reason why those who received tangible wealth return that same wealth to those who hold dollars.

With Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, on the other hand, the story is entirely different. Here, we have people who, solely because of a utopian story about money, gave up their tangible wealth (or dollars that secure that wealth through the mechanism of coercion) and who now hold nothing but digital records in their hands. Since there is no mechanism of coercion to force the other group, which has acquired real wealth, to return that same wealth to the record holders, the crypto project has already failed at its core.

Most people still do not realize this because they blindly focus on the price, which is nothing more than a measure of how much real wealth the last individual in line sacrificed. Theoretically, there could be just two people pumping the price of Bitcoin to a million through mutual exchanges. But that is completely irrelevant. The raw reality on a general level remains relentless: there is absolutely no reason for the group that got the tangible wealth to ever give up a single part of it again in favor of those holding digital papers. Existence always triumphs over utopia.

Hi everyone, as the title implies, i am looking for thoughts, recommandations and opinions on using hardware wallets as FIDO/U2F tokens (as well as PGP tokens if possible) from people who used or are using these options.

I'm specifically looking for one with these options as i need both FIDO/U2F + PGP and a hardware wallet (for different purposes but i wouldn't mind reducing the cost even if it means my PGP keys are less secure than on 2x 70€ yubikeys which have no crypto usage)

As for cryptos, i mostly own SOL and XMR which seems to be both supported by most hardware wallets so probably not an issue.

For now, i've seen than both Trezor and Ledger are solid options with these capabilities, but i'd like to get opinions on the options i'm looking for on both of them

The RBI explicitly warned stablecoins could erode monetary control. ECB officials called dollar stablecoin expansion a "strategic threat to the euro." 98% of all global stablecoin value is denominated in USD. This isn't replacing the dollar it's extending it through digital rails.

The latest purchase follows another acquisition made during a recent market downturn, when Cardone Capital bought 130 BTC valued at approximately $9.7 million. The transaction adds to a growing Bitcoin position that Cardone has continued to expand through a strategy tied directly to income-producing real estate assets.

Been researching privacy-preserving ways to move between cryptocurrencies (specifically XMR to other assets) without going through KYC exchanges, and wanted to share findings since this comes up a lot here.

Why this matters for privacy:

Centralized exchanges link your identity to every transaction through KYC. Once you've verified your identity on an exchange, every coin that touches that account is now associated with you permanently in their records — even years later if there's a data breach or subpoena.

Non-custodial cross-chain swap protocols avoid this entirely. You never create an account, never submit ID, and the protocol never takes custody of your funds — it just facilitates a direct wallet-to-wallet swap.

Protocols worth knowing about:

THORChain — Fully decentralized, no KYC by design. Supports XMR directly which is rare. Has occasionally paused trading for security audits, worth checking status before large swaps.

Chainflip — Similar non-custodial model, faster settlement, but currently does not support XMR directly (mainly BTC/ETH/SOL pairs).

Tokensfund > I built this so people will be able to compare both in one place.

A privacy consideration people miss: even with non-custodial swaps, the destination address you provide is visible on-chain. If privacy is the goal, sending to a fresh address (not one already linked to your identity) matters more than which protocol you use.

One real limitation: none of these protocols are anonymous by default — they're non-custodial, which is different. XMR's privacy comes from Monero's own protocol design (ring signatures, stealth addresses), not from the swap mechanism. Swapping into XMR via THORChain doesn't retroactively anonymize your BTC, for example.

Curious if others here have audited these protocols' actual privacy guarantees more rigorously, or if there are better alternatives I'm missing for XMR-specific routes.

For a time i’ve been getting into meme coin trading. Using tools such as phantom, pump.fun, DEX, etc. Often you’ll come across people promoting their groups on discord/telegram for coins they will be trading daily. They profit by making you pay monthly ofc. What’s your opinion on them?

tl;dr: Over the course of the past 4.5 years, I’ve taken out ~$175,000 in personal loans and 0% credit card balance transfer loans to purchase 5 Bitcoin. I've paid ~$18,000 in interest.

All loans were unsecured. No risk of liquidation. As mentioned in my previous (4 year) update, all loans were paid in full. This new loan is all I have outstanding.

I've been making updates every 6 months or so since the beginning. See my post history for previous updates.

Today, June 19th, 2026 Bitcoin is trading at $63,00 per coin, which brings the current value of my 5₿ to $315,000.

The average price I paid is ~$38,600 per Bitcoin.

My total cost basis is ~$193,000 for 5₿ ($175k in loans + $18,000 in interest).

This comes to ~63% unrealized profit or ~$122,000 in dollar terms as of today.

Not much new to report other than that I couldn’t resist this recent dip so I went ahead and took out another 0% interest credit card balance transfer for $15,000 and bought 0.25BTC.

This brings my total to 5 Bitcoin. I know I said I was done taking out loans, but with the price so low and the balance transfer loan at 0%, plus a 3% transfer fee, I thought to myself why not make it a clean 5 Bitcoin!

I’ve been throwing just about everything I have into it for the past 5 years anyway. I recently decided to start investing in the stock market again for the first time in ages. I feel like I have enough Bitcoin now that I can move on.

It won’t take me long to pay off this most recent loan, maybe 5-6 months at most. I can easily afford it.

I will say this though… Bitcoin has seriously underperformed what I originally anticipated. Last years bull market was underwhelming to say the least. It really hasn’t done much better than stocks the past 5 years.

Pretty much every single prediction I’ve heard about Bitcoin and institutional adoption of the past 5 years has failed to materialize. I’m sick of all the moonboys as much as I am the haters.

Not to mention, the Bitcoin community has become fragmented and kind of toxic if I’m being honest. I have had to filter out and unfollow a lot of people this past year in the Bitcoin community.

I still think Bitcoin is the apex asset but I’m going o be diversifying with new income moving forward. I will reassess in a 3 years time.

Coinbase is showing BNB's all-time high as $1,954 (Sep 23, 2025). The real ATH is $1,370 (Oct 13, 2025) confirmed on Binance, CoinMarketCap, and CoinGecko.

Even Coinbase's own website says $1,904.65 while the app shows $1,954 so their data doesn't even match itself. Looks like a phantom wick that only exists in Coinbase's feed, sitting ~43% above the real high.

Heads up if you're reading their charts for entries or distance-from-ATH. Anyone else seeing this on their app?

So I'm given the task of marketing a crypto app by my boss. The app just gives you analysis and market news with no auto trading. Our target user is people new to crypto.

Let's face it, we have our preferred projects, we shout about its technical merits in the dark, without being honest with ourselves that most of the networks out there have nothing unique to offer society and/or computer science. Unique being the key word there.

The problem is that "Stand With Crypto" is using retail as a grassroots shield to pass the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (H.R. 3633). Coinbase gets immunity from SEC lawsuits, hence their advocacy. Wall Street gets a green light to pump its ETFs, and retail gets stuck with a rigid, 61-day stock market rulebook, via the accompanying tax package (H.R. 9172). If you take a $50k loss and buy back in, you can't use that deduction this year. Forcing you to find thousands in hard, out-of-pocket cash to pay the IRS for "phantom gains" while your loss is frozen. Meanwhile, hedge funds and institutions will just use a little something called, Section 475(f) election to completely bypass the wash sale rule like they always have in the stock market. Harvesting losses instantly while we handle the tax drag. They are literally packaging the death of our biggest tax advantage as an "innovation win." And retail is ok with that? My thing is that it is not equal across the board.

I don’t really have much else to say. Just bumming out a bit on having fumbled a significant amount of profit, combined with missing the feeling of hope and excitement. Felt like we were in uncharted territory with new cool stuff just around the corner.

I hope we get another chance to experience it.

Anyone else furious about Kraken still holding our Humanity Protocol ($H) tokens hostage?

​Every other major exchange—Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, Gate—already processed the 1:1 token migration and reinstated trading days ago. Meanwhile, Kraken is sitting on their hands, completely stripping away our right to manage our own risk. Their "we're protecting retail" narrative is complete garbage when the house is actively burning down and we aren't even allowed to run for the exit.

​At this point, it feels like they are intentionally dragging their feet to wait out the massive token unlock scheduled for next week. If they keep trading frozen until those millions of tokens flood the market and obliterate the price even further, Kraken users are the only ones getting completely left behind without a single chance to salvage their capital.

​Kraken Support, stop the corporate stalling and give us an actual timeline. Let us trade or transfer our assets. Taking away the sell button isn't protection—it's negligence.

I am looking for the above crypto.

I’ve seen some low caps but I forgot if they were new on my part but none that I can invest in because they aren’t available on US exchanges. Therefore, I won’t write them. This is also because I can’t find them.

Ok guys, first of all don’t insult me because first of all I don’t know what to do either. I have a very hang relationship with my father we don’t talk much.. he has another family.

Lately he’s making himself heard and a few days ago I went to see him. After a while we talked, he came up with an (old) tablet with coinmarketapp installed (application that I don’t know, I use Coinbase and in the past I used plus500 and etoro (I live in Italy) however he shows me that he has several bitcoins in his account..

From there starts a story of a friend of his who around 2008/09/10 makes him invest 1000€ but a few years ago he died and he doesn’t know what to do at all.

Through chatgpg I read that coinmarketApp is not a virtual wallet but more of a tracker if I understood correctly. I didn’t find any button to make a withdrawal or transfer to another wallet. He also tells me that several times they call him saying that he has to move money to unlock everything that. It seems like a scam to me. What can I do? I know it seems like a made-up story but it’s reality.

Im basically never using CEX usually, Im mostly using p2p over the years. But ive had quite a nice real estate deal and i needed to sell some BTC for USDT fast so I decided to use MEXC as here, everybody uses it, full KYC done, everything clean. The moment I deposited, funds got locked instantly, cant trade, cant withdraw, nothig..

Its been 3 weeks now, support going in circles asking for proof of funds I just dont have (old p2p coins from 2015/etc, while i provided as much documents as i have). Deadline is coming and I might lose the deal over this. Been reading over reddit and seems it happens a lot. Anyone managed to unlock in a similar situation? Should I que then? advices appreciated

Putting an asset onchain is interesting.

Some of the recent work coming out of W3 got me thinking about this.

If you had to choose, which creates more value: tokenization itself or the workflows built around it?

I found a new coin recently that I aped in and it really got me thinking about a lot.

When BTC first came on the scene with PoW concept, crypto bros were eager to mine it. Not necessarily because of the value potential, but because it was an interesting tech and wanted to learn…a fun hobby.

Over the years as BTC grew, other models came out that were PoS etc to shift away from the labor involved, but in my opinion those have been deterrents from widespread participation and community. Mining is real work/labor and therefore there is a spiritual commitment as well as financial investment. Other proofs like PoS remove the emotional connection from you and the coin and now you only see dollars and cents.

Anyway, I’ve been wanting to create a token that embraces both and restores some faith to real communities while at the same time allows for users to easily generate rewards. I found one I think is super interesting project but curious if you guys know of any coins that have a multifaceted rewards system that will actually generate long term community.

Federal prosecutors said Burton participated in the operation between June 2020 and January 2022 and received at least $7.8 million from the scheme.

So I get the email today that says coinbase will no longer support ethereum based injective after July 23rd. They say they're going to migrate everything from ethereum network to injectives native network.

From what I can tell injectives native network is cosmos. It seems to be available on my ledger as cosmos injective. It has the injective address beginning INJ.

So once i transfer from my Ellipal to coinbase, and coinbase is done doing the migration, I should be able to directly transfer it to my ledger as injective native using the cosmos Network?

Coinbase has decided to freeze my account and withhold $300k+ of my personal funds for absolutely NO clear reason.

I’ve been using this account for 4+ years without issues, completed full verification long ago and used the platform normally the entire time. I have made more than 7figure transactions over the time with absolutely no problem at all.

A few days ago, my account suddenly became restricted after depositing USDT and I was asked for additional verification, source of funds information, and documents despite already meeting the requirements for the account limits and activity levels.

I wanted some funds in my bank so I swapped some XMR from my Cake wallet to USDT directly into my Coinbase address-before you ask, I have done this a dozen times- then boom, account frozen, source of funds required. What am I supposed to say the source of funds is yet I have had the monero held in my Cake wallets for years.

I currently cannot withdraw or fully access my own funds while the review is ongoing.

Support responses have been slow and unclear, and I’m looking for transparency and a timeline for resolution. Has anyone else dealt with something similar on Coinbase?

What does it say about an industry, if amongst the top 10 crypto projects (excl. stablecoins), one is a meme about a dog and the other had an "infinity-create-coin-bug" in its system since the beginning of the project.

after about 10 years I rediscovered a seed phrase I had written down, unfortunately without any hint to which currency or what kind of wallet.
Metamask doesnt accept it, electrum doesnt accept it.
After a bit of digging (and re-learning) I found out that it looks like it has some different words apart from the BIP39 words, "bagpipe" for example.

Is there any way for me to find out to which kind of wallet the phrase belonged to?
If not, oh well. It could not have hold much anyways.

I’m not necessarily looking to make a point, but hopefully to be proven wrong...

Traditional stock markets already more of a kludge with exploitation of loopholes and fixation it worked more like a leaky tub where people made holes and the insititution tried to bandage which made a very messy system. I think tokenized stock is a bandage to the system as welll institutions just sugar-coated stocks with fractional ownership and dlt(distributed ledger technology) and marketed them as an on-chain initiative but in real it contradicts with the real idea of crypto itself its more like a bandage rather than a fix which was made to bring in more of the people who believe in blockchain and were against central authority I also think that institution like BlackRock think of decentralization as a threat.

The solution should be redesigning the system from scratch not patching

Edit: I'm not referring only to tokenized stocks. I'm talking more broadly about financial and securities markets, including tokenized assets, RWAs (real-world assets), and market infrastructure in general. Tokenized stocks are just one example that made me think about the issue.

I nonetheless have entry to the registered e-mail tackle and telephone number. What can I do to remove the 2FA from my account?

Ledger vs Trade Republic

Honest question: I already have my stuff on a ledger but am thinking of buying BTC now on Trade Republic. The last years I found it too uncomfortable to go through the hassle of sending them to an exchange to take profits. Missed out on some serious gains this way. Is there really any downside to just buying the BTC ETF via Trade Republic? I mean the funds are secured up to 100k €, and I am talking about way less to buy.
Would like honest feedback.

Blackrock and all their Top Clients have been in BTC since 15k, they got the absolute Bottom back in 2022, so why would anyone think these guys are panicking, these dudes are up still by alot for institutions. and they have been buying up to 20k - 30k range, thats where they loaded their own bags which are the only bags that matter, and they wont let it ever down there again.

Long story short, I usually use exodus but it was down for a day or something.

I ended up using Coinbase to transfer funds to another wallet…

That was 12 days ago and it’s still holding my funds saying the classic “3-5 days” thing.

Genuinely hope this is just a me experience and people don’t have issues cause this is ridiculous.

All I see is perma bear nonsense left and right. Meanwhile, we recently hit the 200 week and have been trading around it for some time now and instead of actually accumulating and stacking, they refuse to make any moves and continue to call for these ridiculous price targets.

Accumulating BTC right now is equivalent to loading up on it at 20-25k throughout the 2nd half of 2022 or around 3.5k back in late 2018 to early 2019.

These same people refusing to buy now will ultimately start FOMOing back into the market when things are running hot, only to get dumped on their heads. These are the idiots that were buying ADA at $3 in 2021 who sold at a loss or those who bought ETH last year at 4k+.

This is the time to be accumulating, those sitting on the sidelines doing nothing expecting further downside will either miss the train OR will continue to sit on the sidelines if it does drop further.

I'm currently living in Australia and have been using CryptoCom's card for a while but tbh the experience has been mid. The cashback keeps changing, the staking requirements are annoying and the fees aren't as transparent as they should be

I've seen a few newer options out there but not sure what's actually worth it in terms of fees, cashback, and daily reliability. Security matters too obviously. Anyone switched to something better recently? Thanks!

The foundational belief shared by almost every Bitcoin enthusiast is that money is born purely out of agreement. They look at history and imagine a group of early humans who simply grew tired of trading cows for wheat, decided to invent a neutral token, and began using it to make life easier. In this view, Bitcoin is the ultimate upgrade because it is digital, scarce, and programmed to be secure. Bitcoiners genuinely believe that if enough people online simply decide to trade this digital token for real goods and services, it automatically becomes real money. They view wealth as a peaceful social contract, a voluntary game where value exists simply because everyone playing the game agrees to pretend it is there.

But when you bring this philosophy down to the level of ordinary reality, the absurdity becomes immediately obvious. Imagine you are standing in a market with a basket of fresh, crisp apples that you grew with your own hard labor. A man walks up to you, takes a scrap of paper out of his pocket, scribbles the number one hundred on it, and offers to trade that paper for your food. If you hand over your apples, you have just bought into that exact Bitcoin mindset. In their view, the very fact that this trade happened means the paper has magically transformed into real money. They believe that because a transaction took place, value was successfully created out of thin air. But the moment that man walks away eating your apples, your survival depends entirely on whether you can find a third person who is gullible enough to accept that same piece of paper from you. If nobody wants it, the illusion vanishes, and you are left holding worthless trash while someone else ate your dinner.

Now look at how real money actually works in the everyday world. Imagine the same scenario, but this time the man went to a local bank first. The bank did not just hand him a piece of paper for free. The bank typed a number into his account as a loan, but they forced him to sign over his house, his truck, or his land as collateral. If he does not return that exact amount of money to the bank by the end of the month, the bank will show up with the police and strip him of everything he owns. The man is now under desperate, systemic pressure. He has a financial gun pointed at his head. When he comes to your market stand and hands you that piece of paper for your apples, the entire dynamic changes. You are no longer just holding a useless scrap of paper. You are holding the exact key that this man desperately needs to unlock himself from his debt and save his home. Because the bank is forcing him to get that paper back, he is legally obligated to go out into the world, work for you, build things for you, or trade with you in the future just to earn that paper back from you.

This is exactly why the Bitcoin experiment will end badly. Right now, the system runs on pure speculative enthusiasm. People are still excited to trade their real, hard-earned apples for these digital tokens because they believe the hype. But eventually, that hype always disappears. When the dust settles, you are left with two distinct groups of people. The first group has the real apples, the real houses, and the real food. The second group is left holding nothing but what they define as "real money".

Once the excitement is gone, think about what happens when someone from that second group tries to buy apples again. They will hold up their "real money" and demand food. But the apple growers will look at them and ask a very simple, rational question: why on earth should I give you my real food for that digital number? In the real world, the apple grower has to trade with the man who has a bank loan, because that man is desperate and will build a house or plow a field just to get the money back. The person holding a Bitcoin has no such leverage. They are just a person holding an empty token.

There is absolutely no logical reason for the group with real assets to ever give anything back to the group holding the tokens. Without the threat of losing property or going to jail, the illusion snaps. The speculative party ends, the enthusiasm vanishes, and the token holders are left with the brutal realization that they traded away their assets for absolutely nothing.

• The Reality: Over the weekend, the US and Iran announced an interim, 60-day agreement/framework to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Geopolitical experts, mainstream media, and the state actors themselves have confirmed this is a temporary framework, not a permanent peace treaty.
• The Scam: Despite the clear text of the rules, a "YES" resolution was submitted. When it was rightfully disputed, it triggered the UMA (Universal Market Access) oracle voting process. UMA token holders are now aggressively voting "YES" to pocket millions on their own massive Polymarket side-bets.

Polymarket outsources its truth-finding to UMA, a "vote-to-earn" crypto token governance system. This creates a terrifying flaw when the financial stakes are this high:

1. Extreme Centralization: Public data shows that just nine anonymous UMA whale wallets control over half of the entire protocol's voting power.
2. The Financial Incentive to Lie: These nine completely anonymous wallets can collude to vote that the sky is green. Why? Because the value they stand to make by forcing a fraudulent "YES" outcome on Polymarket vastly outweighs any temporary hit to the UMA token's "credibility" reputation.
3. A Secondary Rigged Casino: Because the market stays open during an UMA dispute, people are no longer betting on geopolitical reality. They are literally just betting on whether a handful of anonymous crypto whales will decide to steal the liquidity pool.

I’ve tried a few different crypto apps over time, and while some are better than others, there’s always that one thing that makes it harder than it should be. Sometimes it’s onboarding, sometimes it’s just understanding what to click next

If you could fix one thing about crypto apps today, what would it be?

I’ve been a hodler for about ten years. My main assets are about 68% BTC 14% XMR AND 9% ETH. The remaining 9ish% are SOL, BNB, and ZEC.

I was thinking about just converting the BNB and ZEC into SOL ( the staking is a nice bonus) or just converting all three into XMR.

I don’t mess around with trading and trying to edge out the market. I’ve truly just been a set it and forget “investor”.

How responsible or how ignorant is my thinking on the situation?

I've been reading more about AMMs recently, and one thing that caught my attention is the growing number of platforms experimenting with single-sided liquidity instead of the traditional two-token model.

Most of us are familiar with providing liquidity by depositing a pair of assets, but that can be a bit intimidating for newer users. You need to own both assets, decide how much of each to contribute, and keep track of how the pool changes over time.

Single-sided liquidity seems to take a different approach by allowing users to contribute just one asset while still participating in the liquidity pool. On paper, that sounds like it lowers the barrier to entry, especially for people who aren't comfortable managing multiple tokens.

That got me wondering:

• Do you think single-sided liquidity is actually a better experience for everyday users, or is it just simplifying things without solving the real challenges?
• Are there trade-offs compared to the traditional dual-asset model that people should be aware of?
• If you've tried both, which did you prefer and why?

watching Strategy stack another 1,587 BTC and it hit me, MSTR is basically just a wrapper. you’re not buying software, you’re buying exposure to Saylor’s conviction bet, tradeable on an exchange. the company became a vehicle for backing a thesis early.

so here’s what i can’t stop chewing on: if a corporation can tokenize its balance sheet into something you can buy a piece of… why is it weird for a person to do the same with their future output?

a creator’s attention/audience is real economic value. the only reason you’ve never been able to “buy early” into a creator the way you buy MSTR for BTC exposure is that the rails didn’t exist. now they kind of do.

the version of this i find interesting works like: a creator launches a token, but they only ever get paid in SOL/USDC, tips, content unlocks never their own token. so there’s no founder bag to dump. the token’s a key to their stuff and a bet that their market cap climbs as they grow. you’re early to a person the way MSTR holders were early to Saylor’s BTC call.

the obvious holes: a person is way more volatile than a balance sheet, and “betting on a human” gets weird fast. but is it actually structurally different from buying a company that’s just a wrapper around one guy’s conviction?

or is Saylor allowed to do it because it’s a corp, and a creator doing the same is automatically a “scam”?

Is there a website/indicator/app that helps you track how alts perform when bitcoin is going sideways, going up or going down.

What I'm interested into seeing is if there's a pattern. I noticed that if certain alts dont fall that much when Bitcoin goes down, they tend to go up more once Bitcoin bounces.

It's hard for me to track this on the chart, best way I found to do it is to go on coinmarketcap and go on historical snapshot, but it's not exactly what I want.

Also when I'm looking on Tradingview I can maybe track ETH, XRP or SOL like that, but can't track as many coins as I want like that.

I'm completely rekt with alts, but I want to analyze and see which ones can potentially be good buy when the market bounces and which ones I can short when the market turns around and goes down again.

If you walked through a marketplace thousands of years ago, you would have heard the exact same sales pitch Bitcoin promoters use today. Amulet sellers didn’t sell objects, but "fixes". They’d look a desperate buyer in the eye and say: Worried about your crops dying? This carved bone fixes it. Sick relative? This little stone fixes it. Terrified of bad luck? This scrap of cloth fixes it. In reality, those objects were just ordinary junk with zero power to fix anything. The only thing that had any power was the story, mixed with how desperate the buyer was for a solution. Today, Bitcoin promoters are running the exact same play, they’ve just moved the pitch from a dusty marketplace to the internet.

They talk endlessly about the fixes Bitcoin delivers. It will end inflation and other financial problems. It will free you from corrupt banks and governments. It will give you unbreakable security, borderless money, and a true store of value no one can seize. Sounds powerful, right? Yet underneath the hype, Bitcoin is nothing more than fractions of an arbitrary number, 21 million, imagined by a guy on a cryptography forum and recorded in a decentralized spreadsheet.

Just like the amulet, this has no actual power to fix anything.

Financial problems are problems of bad, broken, or excessive obligations. Trust in money is trust that those obligations will be fulfilled. How on earth is holding a tiny decimal point of an imaginary number going to fix this? It's crazy to even think about it.

Value storage? How is trading away assets to hold a number actually storing value? It is like joining a pyramid scheme and hoping you will get your investment back later from someone else.

Freedom from government? You still have to pay taxes. You still obey the law. The government does not care how many satoshis you stack. Holding those numbers will not shield you from regulation, seizure, or political reality.

Unbreakable security? That's a joke. In finance, security means protecting a claim born from obligations tracked by the system. Anywhere else, it means protecting a useful product. Bitcoin turns this into pure nonsense. All that intense encryption is literally just securing fractions of a number someone made up. It is exactly like installing a high-tech, triple-reinforced vault to protect the air inside.

In short, holding fractions of an imagined number and having them stored across a bunch of random computers cannot fix a single real-world problem.

Meanwhile, the people promoting this are doing great. Book authors, seminar hosts, exchange operators, and influencers make serious money by presenting Bitcoin as the ultimate fix for every financial ill. They thrive on the same human impulse that kept amulet sellers in business for thousands of years: hope mixed with fear, wrapped in a compelling narrative.

So how is Bitcoin not just a digital amulet? The honest answer is that it is exactly that. It is the same ancient trick, updated with better marketing. Technology changed, human nature did not. The shape of the amulet evolved from carved bone to blockchain entry, but the game remains identical: sell belief, collect value.

I'm pretty tired of the usual crypto talk sometimes, the charts, the hype, and the scams. It feels like the actual tech got lost under a mountain of speculation.

But I just read a great article by a writer named Patrick about a project called BrowserCoin and it's a breath of fresh air.

• No Money: You literally cannot buy or sell this coin. There is no price, no exchange, and no presale. It exists just to show you how a blockchain works.
• Anyone Can Do It: You don't need a massive mining rig. You just open a web browser tab and your computer starts mining blocks.
• Learn the Mechanics: Patrick writes that once you watch the machine run with your own hands, nobody can fool you with a crypto scam again. You get to see what decentralization actually means without someone trying to sell you something.

If you want to remember what made this tech interesting before the money ruined it, give his piece a read or take a run at mining some on your browser. It won't make you a dime, but it's a neat experiment. The feeling of hitting a block felt pretty darn cool.
